Are you fit?

"A wise leader makes decisions based on carefully considered consensus, and a fool follows their self-absorbed vision of reality." Dr. BLR

Lights, camera, action! These are the words of movie producers as they prepare to captivate audiences with their latest creation. Most moviegoers have waited to see the new release featuring the latest heartthrob, but this fantasy is only for the starry-eyed. The world has been glued to television or social media, waiting for words from the former reality-show sensation-turned-commander-in-chief.

Over the past six weeks, the entire world—truly, everyone—has unfortunately been held hostage by President Trump's unhinged words. Clear communication is crucial when you're held to the highest standards and the world is watching. In my sixty years, I have never heard or seen the President of the United States use profanity to express himself. While I don’t mind dropping an “F-bomb” or two in casual conversation, I never imagined any president would use this kind of language during prime-time media coverage. I am disappointed and disgusted by his behavior because he supposedly represents the American people.

He recently posted a diatribe on his social media page, Truth Social, which read, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”

You have to ask yourself, which president in their right mind would “officially” post something like this that will stay in history forever? President Donald Trump! Now, you must ask yourself, would a rational president say it, knowing it could affect the entire world with deadly consequences if he followed through, and post something so inflammatory? No! Under international law, President Donald Trump’s words would constitute a war crime. So, what’s next?

President Trump seems to believe his Operation Epic Fury will make the world safer, but those with eyes and critical thinking skills know this isn’t true. What happened to no more endless wars? What happened to putting America first and spending money on American citizens rather than endless military budgets?

Vice President J.D. Vance and a majority of the President’s Cabinet can invoke Article 25 to deem the President unfit to remain in office. After that, there is a process for President Trump to appeal, but his mental stability will be examined more closely.

Several psychologists and psychiatrists have questioned President Trump's mental competence, but I argue that we, the American people, are just as responsible because we have allowed him to potentially undo hundreds of years of progress fought for, all within less than two years. Why he agreed to join this preemptive war with Israel, speculation aside, only they know. America can no longer be trusted by our European allies. They understand something that the average American doesn’t. Even Pope Leo weighed in when he said, "A diplomacy that promotes dialogue and seeks consensus among all parties is being replaced by a diplomacy based on force, by either individuals or groups of allies," he said. "War is back in vogue, and a zeal for war is spreading." Many civilians and several military personnel have been killed. Egos should never influence decisions in war where civilian lives are at risk. Yet, this administration has no qualms about killing people and sending our brave men and women to fight another unnecessary war. Lastly, I say, in the immortal words of the failed businessman and television reality show host Donald J. Trump, President Trump, “YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!”
