Bring in the clowns

“The deed not seen is more precious than the one posted on social media for spectacle.” Dr. BLR

The capitalist system enables individuals to leverage their perceived talents to increase their earnings. Some might argue it’s beneficial, but over time, the true nature of this system reveals its flaws. Those in power only offer benefits to those they consider deserving. Many communities have representatives who target people based on race or ethnicity. Sadly, it appears the Black community is influenced by a seven-foot-plus buffoon known for his basketball skills and goofy demeanor, a smaller buffoon some find amusing, and a loud-mouthed sports commentator who refuses to accept the reality of a receding hairline—all of whom appear in multiple commercials trying to persuade viewers to buy, play, or sign up for unnecessary products.

This point is understood by those who recognize the core issue. Keeping the uninformed busy with trivial matters distracts them from understanding life's realities and the need for racial and economic progress. Although these individuals are financially comfortable, they still promote products that do not benefit underrepresented communities. Also, on occasion, they delve into politics to express their views.  One might wonder why this is a problem. Technically, it isn’t, especially for those who don’t care. But from a broader perspective, this situation highlights the potential harm these individuals can cause to society.

Examining what these individuals promote and the ideals they espouse reveals that activities such as sports gambling, supporting controversial policies, selling over-the-counter products not approved by the FDA, and offering insurance policies targeted at disadvantaged populations could harm society. Still, those in charge permit their chosen representatives to appear in ads targeting specific uninformed groups, especially those who followed them in their careers. It is hard to believe they are willing to promote these products knowing lives will be negatively affected, possibly destroying families and causing some to become homeless due to debt.

The main questions are why they choose these pawns and their reasons for doing so. Acting as corporate tools helps specific influencers, celebrities, and former athletes stay involved in promoting new products aimed at exploiting the poor. They maintain their image by occasionally giving back to their communities, often through donations to fund projects bearing their names or by staging gifts for unsuspecting people. At the same time, they ensure their acts of kindness are caught on video to be shared later on social media. Cheers and the rush of “He’s a great guy with a heart” are common reactions from those who don’t see the deception. Their generous acts shouldn’t fool us. These are staged by those who control the show. Sadly, there will always be candidates driven by their desire for wealth who don’t care about the lives they affect. It’s a sad truth that these figures get a platform, and even sorrier that they are celebrated regardless of the harm they cause. Hopefully, the lemmings who support these imbeciles will finally open their eyes and acknowledge that they’ve been duped.

The concrete for the clown has been poured and cured, and the playbook has been mastered. The newcomers will be more eager to step in and participate, aiming to enter the studio for makeup and a revised script. The new avatars of clownery have lost their identity and have assimilated into the “All Lives Matter” realm, and they will not look back. Only if they had read the words of noted political philosopher Franz Fanon, “The colonial system nurtures the colonized people in such a way as to make them believe that salvation lies in their identification with the colonizer’s values.” Fortunately, Blackness doesn’t serve as a collective, thus dismissing those who’ve gone astray.
